A Cinema Booking system is a console based software which provides a basic interface with options for movie selection, ticket booking, membership card registration, and contact information. This system is an online platform which allows users to reserve and purchase movie tickets for a theatre or cinema.
This is the basic user interface for controlling tickets without actually departing. This project was intended to bridge the gap between the client and the movie-counter for ticket management.
The system was created using the C++ Programming Language, and several variables and strings were employed in its creation.

- We will start by writing the header of the code with the required libraries – iostream (input and output stream), fstream, conio.h (console input/output), string.h (string manipulation), math.h (mathematical operations), stdlib.h (memory management), stdio.h, process.h, limits, time.h (time management).
- Now we will define class called ticket which will store the ticket information. It will have 2 data members – name (array of type char to store the customer’s name) and cno (array of char type to store customer’s contact number). We will create ‘t’ object for this class.
- Defining the class called card, inherited from parent class ticket. In this class we will create 2 public data members – address (array of char type to store customer’s address) and emailid (Email ID – array of char type to store the customer’s email ID). Creating an object called ‘v’ for this class.
- Now we will declare prototype Call for the functions definitions. The functions are – pay(int), random(), card(). We will define these functions after the main function.
- The menu() function will display the menu details of the box office. It will print he welcome message and then display the menu options – movie timings, contact us, DTCard registration, and exit.
- The main() function will clear the screen first using – system(“CLS”). Then we will declare and initializes several variables. The function will then enter a do-while loop which will allow the user to interact with the box office system until the user opt to exit from the program. We will use a switch case to select between the menu options.
- Selection option 1 will display all the movies available with their genre and language. The user will then enter their choice and the timings for the selected show will be displayed. The user will then enter the details being asked like name, contact number number of tickets etc. We will use switch case statements for the option selections for the respective timing.
- Selecting option 2 , information about cinema will be displayed.
- Selection option 3, the user can register for the card membership of the cinema to get benefits. A thankyou message after registration will be displayed and following that the privileges for the card membership will be displayed.
- Selecting option 4, the user can exit from the program. A thankyou message will appear.
- Now we will define the card() function declared above. We will create an integer type variable called cardid to store card ID. The user will be prompted to register for the card facility in the cinema by entering details such as – name, mobile number, mail id. A new card number will be generated using rand() function.
- Defining pay() function for the payment system for the interface. It will take the number of tickets to be purchased as an argument. We will create variables to store information. The user will be asked the type of seating they want – normal or gold. Selection of the choice will decide further prompts in the program. We will use an if else statement. For both the selections we will enter the details and make the payment.
- The sums up or project of Cinema Booking system using C++.
